A powerful non-invasive treatment that releases trauma to tissue, tendons and bones through the therapist observing the natural flow and respiration of the human body. The observation, without `agenda or intention allows the damaged tissue to release held trauma, aiding the natural healing process to proceed unhindered. The detached yet integral presence of the therapist in the treatment brings an element of quantum physics into this treatment. Showing that there really is no separation between us, no bubbles of human isolation, instead that we are all inherently inter-connected and capable of healing each other and ourselves.
The cerebrospinal fluid of the cranium and spine has a natural ebb and flow, like waves and a tide, this is the bodies natural rhythm on a deep level. When physically or emotionally traumatised, the body’s tissue contracts and particularly in response to emotional or severe shock, the tissue may stay contracted. Any stresses, strains, tension or trauma that has been ‘stored’ in the body has an effect on the functioning of the craniosacral fluid, causing imbalance over the years and eventually ill health. The practitioner, using the hands as a mirror, reflects back the observation of what has happened in the body, allowing the body to return to an easier mode of functioning.
Not only does this release the trauma from the tissue, it also releases the energy that was locked up holding the tension, giving an increase in available energy in the body.
Several treatments may be necessary before the client begins to appreciate the subtle changes in the body, particularly as the body and not the mind decides what is required from each treatment.

Craniosacral Therapy
Different treatments are more suitable for different conditions and symptoms, so I’ve summarise each type of treatment so you will better know which would be more suitable for you. With the exception of Moxibustion and Chair Massage, which require specific materials or equipment, all treatments can be incorporated seamlessly into a Shiatsu session.
